Faith Healers Claim to Cure Cancer
There is only one word for this as expressed by Prof Edzard Ernst – Criminal. Let’s hope these charlatans are appropriately prosecuted!
These people prey on people’s hopes, not give them hope. Yet another example of “where’s the harm?”
Churchgoers not religious
Only one in 20 attends church because of faith.
A recent survey perhaps reveals a fundamental truth about modern attitudes to religion; that people only follow a religion due to habit, culture and community rather than any acceptance of the supernatural claims made by the officers of the religion.
The promising implication is that just a little shove is required to transform such an environment into one that is free of religion, with the great benefit that it would be open to all and not discriminate against anyone based upon their beliefs, or lack of.
If this survey is anything to go by remove religion from the Church and no-one would even notice!
