The Russian girl punk rock band Pussy Riot have been found guilty of “hooliganism on grounds of religious hatred” and sentenced to two years in prison.
Their “crime” was to sing a protest song (which some found offensive), in Moscow’s main Orthodox cathedral, against Vladimir Putin, and his links to the Church.
It is a travesty of justice that Pussy Riot’s freedom of speech has been curtailed just because some people chose to take offense.

That statement by Mr Fry should be imprinted on everyone’s forehead. How many times does it have to be said, no one has a right not to be offended. Religion is offensive, does that mean that religion should shut up? I wish!

This shows how Religion has it’s fingers in every Government. They sang a song. They didn’t put a bullet between Putin’s eyes.
