Third generation English born in 1954 into Irish Catholicism (the worst kind). Brainwashed with the Catholic Penny Catechism from primary school onwards (caned frequently for failure to recite the Catechismic answers [maybe that should be cataclysmic?]) but suffered Catholic indoctrination from earliest memories. Rejected the concept of Gods and Deities aged 10 and refused to go into Roman Catholic secondary education. I find the dictionary definition of Atheism flawed. I am of the view a better definition would be 'A pragmatic, logical, analytical person who has looked for evidence of God(s) in order to undertake an examination of the evidence. However, having found no sound primary or secondary source evidence to examine rejects the proposition in its entirety'.
