Trump

Not exactly an atheism story but as dirtbag Trump is helping to empower evangelical creeps I thought it worth highlighting this petition: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/171928

Plus am impressed with the response, at time of posting this there were close to 900,000 signatories in less than a day. I wonder what excuse Evangelical Theresa May (or may not) will have for ignoring the voice of the people this time.

I looked at the map showing the signatures by constituency just after signing and was amused to see in my area, Stroud, I was signatory number 666, I am expecting to see a queue of exorcists at my door in the morning 🙂

It's already above 1.15 million.

An egotist and a murderous kleptocrat. This is some world leadership, 2017.

Washington: Now, that's how to run an exclusive club. At Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago in Florida, there's a ceiling on membership and newcomers get a look-over only on the recommendation of a current member.
And because the club owner has been in the news, there's a new premium on membership. The down payment has just been doubled, from $US100,000 to $US200,000 – and only the churlish would argue that that amounts to the Trumps cashing in on the presidency. Source:

Theresa May said that "we" speak the same language, kneel at the same altar. Apparently some USAmericans and some Brits have a special relationship.

Democracy seems under attack in the USA (of all places). Trump said he wouldn't accept the outcome if Hillary won. Based on how it "should" be interpreted, the Second Amendment is interpreted as guaranteeing the right to bear arms, despite what it actually reads. "He's not my President" signs from "loyal" opposition. Now egotist Trump may be the most opaque administration in modern US history. None of this bodes well.
