Society should NOT allow the contents of the bible nor any other religious tome, to affect any member of any society. The case for the existence of a divine being or beings is far from proven. The truth of the contents of the bible and other religious tomes are also far from proven. As such, until such time as they are proven, they should be ignored and not used to dictate to society.

Further, for the first time in a very long time, the number of atheists in Britain is greater than the number practicing some form of religion. We are now an atheist nation. Given past trends, it is more than likely that the trend towards atheism will only increase and hopefully, in the fullness of time, this nation of ours will be completely rid of all of this religious nonsense. We can therefore place the bible and all other religious tomes in the bin where they rightfully belong where they can be ignored.

The practice of female and male genitalia mutilation, on religious grounds, should therefore cease with immediate effect and it's about time this government passed the required laws.
