The No More Faith Schools campaign has urged the government to resist a call for "a substantial number of state-funded Muslim schools" from the dean of Westminster Abbey.
John Hall, the outgoing dean of the abbey, told a service there this week that "there should be a clear duty on Government to encourage excellent state-funded Muslim schools".
He also claimed the idea would contribute to Muslims' "incorporation, mutual engagement and flourishing" in British society.....
Unquote.

Whatever one thinks of "Atheism" (disbelieving religious gods are real) or what you think of secularism, it might be agreed that Abrahamic religionists are being sort of driven together? Christianity is dying and some believers seem to think the answer is to get people into some religious faith - of any sect. I get the impression some religionists care less about what religion flourishes than that religion itself survives. The form or creed doesn't seem to matter much now that all creeds and sects are openly questioned.

More importantly, I think it should be agreed that all our children be educated together and not segregated by religious denomination. Religion has nothing to do with a modern education. 'Our' children are our responsibility, not our possessions. They aren't born Muslim or Hindu. Like hatred, religion has to be carefully taught.
