Lifelong atheist, despite being taken to church as a child I have never believed in a god. Even at five years of age the idea seemed too far fetched to be believed. I have always stood my ground as an atheist, especially arguing in hositals in the 80s and before when they would refuse to accept atheist on admission forms, although I have become much more vocal in the last few year as I see religion posing a bigger and bigger threat to society.
