  1. I started out Conservative, became Liberal Democrat, and now I’ve turned Green! But my lifelong Atheism remains firm and true.

I know, of course, that religious people can be of any political leaning. It just seems more nauseating when politicians themselves spout their “faith” and their “values”, And for some reason most nauseating of all, to me, when it comes from Tory politicians.

Maybe it’s just me, for having been a Conservative until their politics drove me away.

…George W. Bush, Rick Santorum, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, Nadine Dorres…

I think we could go on and list people on both left and right of the political spectrum who are religious, however it has also been my experience (anecdotal experience I know), but I’ve also met non-religious people from all sides of the spectrum and I have found a majority of them are also on the political left (I consider myself to be a left leaning centrist personally!).

What I find most relevant when dealing with people is what is it they believe and why, and what do they do and why!

Or, for that matter, Tony Blair, Giles Fraser (pictured) and George Galloway.

  4. Oh, right. Left wing like Eric Pickles, Michael Gove and Baroness Warsi, perhaps?
